The month of May is a great time for a bicycle adventure. The weather here in Connecticut has warmed up significantly, the woods are bright green again, and the days stay lighter longer.
Local Alt-cycling tycoon, Ronnie Ultraromance, hosted another Spring Fling bike ride through the backroads and singletrack near his HQ in East Haddam. The curated route was technically 61 miles, but I was pretty spent by the end of the day, so I bailed at the end, opting for a more direct route back to my vehicle. I still logged 54 miles and 5,400 ft. of climbing for the day. This was my longest ride in quite some time, so needless to say I was pretty cooked by the time I arrived back at the parking lot at Gillette’s Castle. No regrets. I had a wonderful time and bumped into a few folks that I had met at previous Nutmeg Nor’Easter rides. Here are a few photos that I took along the ride…

Thanks for dropping by. Peace!
